A garden reclaimed from the slope in Bridge of Weir, this once steep and unusable garden was transformed into a series of beautifully connected, level spaces designed to be enjoyed at every turn. Thoughtful terracing created practical lawn plateaus, while fine stonewalling and carefully placed feature boulders now anchor the landscape naturally into its setting.
Define stone paired with grey promenade sandstone gives the steps and pathways a timeless, grounded feel. As you move through the garden, a hidden greenhouse area emerges like a secret retreat, framed by informal boulder steps, richly planted borders, and productive vegetable beds.
Three years on, it’s a pleasure to return and see how the garden has matured and how well it’s been cared for. A space shaped by land, stone, and craftsmanship, built to stand the test of time.
