My wife and I were so pleased that MacColl and Stokes were recommended to us.
From the first visit to our house to discuss the project we were put at our ease. Firstly, as Alan discussed the specification for the design of both front and back garden, it was very clear that the company was professional and knew their subjects.
Within a day or so a very detailed price was submitted which was in the area we wished to pay. Final details were agreed, and a date set to commence the work.
On the day and to the hour the men set to and started clearing and preparing the ground. This comprised of three lawn areas with kerb surrounds, brick paviers, driveway levelled and weed control membrane topped with chips, also a pebbled area at the rear of the house.
The men doing the work were polite and nothing was too much trouble for them....in fact, a cheery bunch! Each night the site was left tidy and clear, allowing us easy access in and out of the premises. In nine days (to the hour given on first arrival) the site was left and work completed. We were left with full instructions on the care of the newly laid turf.
Due to Covid 19 we were unable to comply fully with the exact payment method. After a brief phonecall all was arranged and agreed using a different method.
Many thanks Alan, Gary, Aaron and Tieran, a friendly and hardworking team - in all weathers. Rain did not stop progress.

Excellent service provided by Scott MacColl and his team. This is second time they have done work for us and both times have done a great job. We had a landscape architect do the initial layout and then we worked together with her and Scott to finalise the plan. Scott and the team did the work while we were on holiday and finished it as promised on both schedule and budget. Would recommend them to anyone. Our neighbours were also complimentary around the professionalism of his staff which is important to us as we are in a quiet cul-de-sac with parking challenges.

Delighted with the work that’s been done. Our garden was a large space but total disaster zone!! They dug the whole place up, cleared the site and started again.
We have everything we asked for - beautiful slabbing, patio, pergola, old driveway taken away, new gate & walled surround, loads of beautiful plants & trees. It’s an amazing transformation & we love being in it. All our neighbours have commented on how great it looks.

Delighted with the work done by Maccoll and Stokes to transform our new-build plot into a wonderful garden. At first we thought we would just do the minimum and get the area turfed but having met with Paul we decided to go for his proposed design.
Communication was good from the outset and the work started a few weeks later as agreed. The work to level the garden, the sandstone paving and the timber work have been completed to a very high standard and they have clearly taken pride in their work - all this despite the constant wet weather they faced.
We’re also very pleased with their choice of plants and shrubs. Our expectations have been met and more.
